Though the property is gated for your privacy, the grounds are surrounded by flowering shrubs and manicured hedges, adding to the tucked-away feeling. The house opens to a broad green lawn with a deck and swimming pool in the center. Watch fishing and leisure boats ply the ocean in the distance from the sunny lounge area on the pool deck, or from the shaded sitting area closer to the house, then cook up the seafood they’ve caught on the barbecue and enjoy at the al-fresco dining area.
Weathered exposed-beam ceilings and cool stone-tile floors make Villa Luce feel as though it’s been standing for hundreds of years. Large windows fill the living spaces with sunlight, while built-in bookcases are thoughtful details. A grouping of wicker sofas in the sitting room is casual and inviting, while in the dining room, wrought-iron chairs are a more formal setting for special-occasion dinners. A farmhouse-style table and benches in the fully equipped kitchen is the perfect spot for a morning espresso or late-night snack.
Two types of bedrooms at Villa Luce, all with en-suite bathrooms, can comfortably accommodate a variety of groups. There are two bedrooms with king beds and private balconies, including the master suite, which overlooks the bay. Three bedrooms have double beds and open to the terrace, so you can start the day with a breath of fresh sea air. For larger parties, two additional twin beds are also available. There are also 2 staff bedrooms near the laundry room.
Though the villa feels like a hidden gem, it’s only about a 1 km drive from the shops and restaurants in Abbiadori, and 5 km from the seaside resort of Porto Cervo, where you can watch the luxury yachts or enjoy a honeymoon-worthy dinner at an oceanfront restaurant overlooking the picture-perfect harbor. The closest beaches are La Celvia and Spiaggia del Grande Pevero, both about 4 km away, and Long Beach and Spiaggia del Principe, both about 5 km away. You’ll want to book your tickets into Olbia Airport, just beyond the city of Olbia, 27 km away.
