Built in 1911 as a residence for a noble Milanese family, this picturesque villa sits on the west shore of Lake Como. From its ideal position, one can enjoy a beautiful panorama of Bellagio, the pre-Alps to the north, and Nesso to the south, with an idyllic view of the Sisinnio church dominating the skyline. From the grounds of this very estate, Winston Churchill painted in watercolour the iconic image. A charming path, said to have been constructed during Roman days, leads from the villa to the town and lake below. The town of Argegno is located over 900 feet above sea level in the sunny inlet on the western shore of Lake Como. The ancient town centre, picturesquely juxtaposed against the lake and mountainous background, features a large number of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and pubs.
