It’s a location that feels miles from anything but is nevertheless just a short drive from the town of Villasimius. The five bedrooms mean you can bring groups of up to ten friends or family members to this honeymoon-worthy setting.

When you’re not swimming in the cove or building sand castles on the beach, take a nap in the villa’s shaded outdoor living area or heat up the barbecue for dinner at the al-fresco table for eight. Though this luxury property feels like your own retreat away from it all, satellite TV and Wi-Fi mean you’re always connected to the outside world.

Inside, the residence is unpretentious and modern, with simply furnished living and dining rooms that open to the terrace. The kitchen is just as contemporary but a little more dramatic, with rich coppery red walls to balance its sleek cabinets. It’s fully equipped and has a convenient breakfast bar, too.

Villa Beachfront has three bedrooms with queen beds and en-suite bathrooms, and two bedrooms that share a hallway bathroom and have two twin beds each. Several of the bedrooms have sea views or terrace access, as well as the same pared-down-chic feel as the main living areas.

From the villa’s beachfront setting, it’s a 5-minute drive to the golden sands of Campus Beach, one of the best in the area (besides the one just in front of the house, of course). Pop into the nearby town of Villasimius to visit yet another sandy beach, explore its medieval fortress or just to sip a drink at an inviting oceanfront cafe. For a day trip, drive to the island’s capital, Cagliari.
